7 Indulgent Paleo Desserts

Yes, you read the title correctly. Indulgent and Paleo in the same sentence. Paleo overall is a higher fat diet – lots of nuts, coconut, and avocado. These all make for super yummy desserts. Of course, don’t go too crazy with these every night, but its important to let yourself indulge every once in a while. Here’s my top 7 paleo dessert picks:

1. Fudgy Pumpkin Blondies

These tasty treats are made with almond flour, pumpkin puree, flaxseed, and just the right amount of dark chocolate. It doesn’t have to be October to enjoy these blondies either – pumpkin is a great Paleo add-in, with awesome nutritional value.

2. Paleo Cake Pops

Okay, but seriously. COULD these get any cuter? They look just like the Starbucks ones, except guilt-free. They are made with dark chocolate, coconut milk, and almond flour – and you can top them with an amazing paleo vanilla glaze. BRB buying a cake pop maker…

3. Paleo Chocolate Coffee Coconut Truffle Desserts

That title is a mouthful, I know… a mouthful of BLISS. These are so easy, and ridiculously good. You use coconut butter, chocolate, coffee grinds, and a few more tasty ingredients, blend them up, and pop them in an ice tray. How great is that?

4. Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies

Now I’ve got your attention. Bacon is one of the best parts about being paleo, and these cookies are everything you’ve dreamed about. The base of the cookie is… *shocker* almond flour! They also use maple syrup, chocolate bits, vanilla, and MMMM CRUMBLED BACON BITS. I’m sold.

5. Coconut Date Ice Cream

This is as easy as it sounds. Coconut milk + dates + pecans and voila. You have coconut date ice cream. Oh yeah, you should probably freeze it.

6. Paleo Grilled Peaches with Coconut Cream

These are another super simple dessert. The recipe suggests waiting until the peaches are in season – so save this one for a perfect summer night grilling with the fam. Although its not chocolate, sometimes you crave that natural sweetness that only comes from fruit. If that’s you, then these grilled peaches are for you.

7. Paleo Samoa Donuts

How could I not finish off a dessert post with donuts? If you haven’t guessed by now, you can basically make any dessert instantly paleo by using almond flour. They make the caramel topping from maple syrup, coconut milk, ghee, vanilla, and coconut shavings. This is for all of you that can’t resist a good girl scout cookie.
